Vice President and General Manager
Hitachi Server Group
As vice president and general manager of the Hitachi Server Group, Elizabeth King has responsibility for marketing, sales and customer delivery of Hitachi servers and solutions, including the Blade Symphony server line.
King, who joined Hitachi in May 2006, brings more than 20 years experience in over 30 countries in global sales, business development, manufacturing and operations in technology companies. Prior to Hitachi, King was with Lucent Technologies, Inc., where she most recently served as vice president, strategic alliances and new business development, global sales. In that role, King was responsible for building Lucent's relationships and incremental sales with strategic alliance partners on a global basis, and for leveraging those relationships to drive new growth into both existing and new markets for the company.
Prior to Lucent, she served as director, solutions partners, global partner sales, for Sun Microsystems, Inc., leading all aspects of Sun's overall market strategy, channel architecture, offer portfolio and execution of Sun's global alliances with solutions partners, including systems integrators, outsourcers and service providers. Earlier in her career, King worked at the Raytheon Company where she was responsible for worldwide strategy and international business development for a $1.5 billion division of the company. She also held various executive positions at Texas Instruments Incorporated.
King has a MBA from the University of Dallas and a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Lehigh University.
